Attention:
Hardwoods and other timbers rich in natural oils, waxes, acids and terpenes should be degreased using Bio Thinner because these substances may mix with the varnish / oil and prolong its drying time. Let dry for 24 hours.
5.1 WOOD PANELLING, DOORS, WINDOWS, SHUTTERS, FRAMES,
BEAMS, FASCIAS, GABLES, AND BOX FRAMES ETC.
5.1.1 OIL FINISH
a) Apply one coat of Bio Natural
Timber Oil. Remove excess oil with a clean cloth after
1-2 hours.
b) Sand if necessary after the previous coat
has dried thoroughly. Then apply one or two coats
of BIO NATURAL TIMBER OIL.
5.1.2 VARNISH FINISH
a) Apply one coat of BIO Wood Primer all round before the timber being attached to the building framework.
b) Apply one coat of BIO WOOD VARNISH
CLEAR let dry thoroughly for 12 -24 hours. Sand if
necessary after the first coat. Apply second and third
coat only after the previous coat has been thoroughly
dried.
5.1.3 VARNISH - STAIN FINISH
a) Apply one coat of BIO Wood Primer
all round before the timber being attached to the
building framework.
b) After 24 hours drying time apply the first
coat of BIO Wood Varnish. Let dry thoroughly. Sand
if necessary after the first coat. Apply the second
only after the previous coat is dry. Apply a third
coat on very absorbent or rough sawn timber.
5.1.4 ENAMEL FINISH
a) Apply one coat of BIO Enamel Lacquer
Undercoat Let dry for 24 hours. Sand if necessary.
b) Now apply two coats of BIO Enamel Lacquer
white or tinted thinned down by 5-10% with BIO Thinner.
5.2 FENCES, PERGOLAS, BALUSTRADES, POSTS, GAZEBOS.
5.2.1 VARNISH
a) Apply three coats of BIO Wood
Varnish. Let dry thoroughly in between.
b) Timber in contact with the soil should be
treated with BIO Wood Varnish up to 30cms above the
ground.
5.2.2 VARNISH - STAIN FINISH
a) Apply one coat of BIO Wood Primer
all around before the timber being attached to the
building framework.
b) After 24 hours drying time apply the first
coat of BIO Wood Varnish. Let dry thoroughly. Sand if
necessary after the first coat. Apply the second coat
only after the previous is dry. Apply a third coat on
very absorbent or rough sawn timber.
